I've been thinking a lot about the absence of leads in Daveon Brooks' case. It really makes me wonder about the kind of fearless community outreach that's needed to bring justice for him. It's truly disconcerting that someone could commit such an act and just fade into the background.
I read that the APD described the case as "isolated," but I can't help but question if someone out there has vital information and is just too scared or uncertain about coming forward. It's so important we foster a community where people feel safe to share what they know. And with technology today, tips can even be made anonymously.
If anyone here has been through this process, how was your experience providing information? Did it feel secure and taken seriously? I think shedding light on positive outcomes might encourage others to step up. Justice for Daveon is out there, and it really feels like it could be just one brave tip away.

Has anyone else been following the case of Daveon Michael Brooks? It’s so unsettling that he was found in the middle of the road like that. I can’t stop thinking about who might have been involved or why this happened to him. The fact that it's been over a year with no arrests is just baffling. It seems like there’s so much that’s still a mystery.
I keep coming back to the plea for public assistance. I wonder why more hasn’t come out, considering there must be people out there who know something. It’s hard to believe no one remembers the night of March 26, with the shooting happening relatively early in the evening.
