Has anyone else found it strange that Dirk’s jewelry was never discovered? It seems odd considering they were pretty distinct—especially that ring with the initial "D." You’d think if anything washed up, it might be something metal. Plus, I wonder if anyone has checked local pawn shops around that time. It’s old school, but it wouldn’t be the first time something like that turned up long after the fact. Those cowboy boots really stick out to me too. Were they a special brand? It's been so long, but those details could still lead somewhere new. Thoughts?
Wow, just stumbled upon Dirk Schakenberg's case and can't shake the thought of it. Being last seen at Land's End must have been terrifying for his friends, especially with such a dramatic and sudden event. It makes me wonder about the weather conditions that day—was it particularly stormy or foggy, contributing to his fall? Also, what about the tides? That area can be unpredictable. I’m curious, does anyone know if that part of Land’s End is known for strong currents or hidden dangers? I’m hoping fresh eyes and maybe more understanding of the location might help renew interest in the case. Anyone familiar with that area back in the early 80s who can provide some insight?
