Just came across a detail that’s been really bothering me: the witnesses at the scene reported seeing a tan SUV speeding away right after the gunshots. I keep wondering how it must feel to know you were so close to such a devastating event. I’m thinking specifically about any people who were on that bus or walking by that might have seen something—they could be crucial in piecing together what exactly happened that night.
Also, I genuinely feel for the families mourning the loss of DeAngelo and David, knowing this memory will stay etched in their minds. They deserve answers and closure. With Elias and Tlaloc Chavez already in custody, one can only hope the trial brings the truth to light. It's alarming to think about the high number of homicides in Denver back in 2021. It's like the city is grappling with a puzzle of its own, trying to find ways to curb this violence. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy.
Has anyone else been following the trial of Elias and Tlaloc Chavez? I can’t imagine the pain that DeAngelo Tafoya and David Lara's families are going through. I read that DeAngelo's mom, Angie, is so strong in attending the sessions despite the heartbreak of losing her son. And all that this family has endured—all while caring for DeAngelo’s little girl. It's a harsh reminder of how innocent lives get caught up in senseless violence. It's disheartening to see how prevalent these crimes are becoming in Denver. Does anyone have more information on how the court proceedings are going for these two accused? I hope the families get the justice they are seeking.
