Has anyone else looked into the specifics of the car Arthur Eckert was driving when he went missing? I did some digging and it seems like his tan and brown 1974 Chevrolet wasn't a particularly common color scheme back in the day. I'm wondering if anyone has checked whether any sightings of similar vehicles were reported around Austin or along possible routes he might have taken? Even an accident report or abandoned vehicle sighting might shed some light. I know it's been ages since 1986, but sometimes those vehicle details can crack a case wide open. Thoughts?
Has anyone else been looking into the connection between Arthur Eckert’s disappearance and his mother’s murder? It seems like way too much of a coincidence that these two events happened on the same day. I read that Eckert was supposed to be heading to the horse races, but he never showed up. Makes me wonder if someone was following him or trying to intercept him on the way. Also, considering he had a routine that included staying at different places, like the hotel in San Antonio, does anyone else think that could somehow play a role in this? Maybe he had enemies or someone he was trying to avoid? It's puzzling that after all these years, there's still so little to go on!
