I've been following the discussion on the tragic events that unfolded in Lamar, and something that sticks with me is how close-knit communities like this are left to grapple with such unexpected losses. I keep thinking about Keisha, the young survivor, and the immense healing journey she must be on, both physically and emotionally. It's harrowing to imagine the trauma she endured and how she has to navigate life after such a devastating event.
I find myself wondering about the support systems in place for survivors of violent crimes in smaller towns. Do they have access to trauma-focused therapy and support groups? I really hope the community is rallying around her, providing the love and care she needs. For anyone close to her or even members of similar communities, what resources have you seen that make a real difference in helping someone move forward? It feels important that we share any knowledge we might have to support Keisha and others who might find themselves facing similar challenges.
