It's hard to imagine that it's been almost nine years since we lost Jose. I didn't know him personally, but from what friends have shared, it was clear that he was a bright light in our community. His senseless death left a mark on all of us in Hobbs, NM. The recent arrest of Jose Santiago Briones Jr. honestly took me by surprise. It's wild how an unrelated incident led to such a significant break in the case. My thoughts are with Jose’s family and close friends, who have carried this burden over the years. I hope this new development can bring them a step closer to the justice they’ve been seeking. Keeping all fingers crossed for a fair and thorough process moving forward.
