I'm really struck by the location pattern in this case. It's interesting that José Zapata was found so close to where the original crime took place. It makes me wonder about the connections he might have had in that area and if there are others who might have known or helped him. Portales is small enough that people talk, and it seems hard to vanish without someone noticing something. My heart goes out to the families of John Jesse Bustamante and Christina Winters-Griffin. I can’t imagine the pain of waiting for years without answers. Hopefully, the trial brings them the clarity and justice they so deeply deserve. ?️?
