On a crisp autumn evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of Mark Modisett Jr., a 32-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On October 18, 2019, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Modisett was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection of 13th and Atkinson when he was fatally wounded.
