Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Emilia's relationship with Carlos and how little we still know about what led to this terrible situation. It's so difficult to comprehend how things escalated to such a tragic outcome. It's heartbreaking to see young lives lost in such a way, and it raises so many questions about the warning signs that might have gone unnoticed. I read somewhere that Emilia was very active on campus and had a strong support network of friends. I wonder if any of them knew something was wrong or saw changes in her behavior. It's a reminder to all of us to be vigilant and supportive to those around us – sometimes reaching out can make a difference. My heart goes out to her family and friends who are struggling to make sense of all of this. May they find peace and answers in time. Wishing strength and healing to everyone affected by this tragedy.

I can’t shake the sadness about Emilia and Carlos, especially when I think about how close-knit college communities can be. For the students at NMSU, this must feel like a raw wound. Emilia, from all accounts, seemed like a bright, beloved soul, which makes this tragedy feel even more incomprehensible. It’s chilling to think about how someone can go from attending classes and making plans for the future to being caught up in something so devastating. I keep pondering the signs that might have been missed. Were there pressures or conflicts that were too hidden for even their closest friends to see? It's hard not to imagine the "what ifs" that might have prevented this horrific event. My heart goes out to her family, navigating a future without their daughter, and to the students who came back from break to an empty desk where Emilia once sat. Maybe there’s more our campuses can do to provide support and resources for young adults navigating their first taste of independence and complex relationships.
