Hey everyone,
I just came across the case of Marcus Cruz from 2001, and it got me thinking about the role of community involvement in unsolved cases like this one. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that Marcus’s family and friends are still going through, knowing that his killer has never been brought to justice. It must be incredibly difficult to move on while still seeking answers.
Despite the years that have passed since that horrible night, I feel like it's crucial for members of the New Bedford community and beyond to come together and support efforts to bring Marcus’s killer to justice. Sometimes, it's the smallest detail or something someone heard or saw that can break a case wide open.
Does anyone here have experience with volunteer community efforts or initiatives to reopen cold cases? I wonder what more can be done to keep Marcus's case in the public eye and encourage anyone with information to come forward. It really highlights that even after so much time, these efforts are essential. If you have any thoughts or know of ways to help, I'd love to hear them.
Justice for Marcus is long overdue. Let's keep talking about him and support each other in pushing for answers.
