I was reading about Gilbert Chavez's case, and something that stood out to me was the gap between his last sighting and when he was reported missing. I get that family situations can be complex, especially with sporadic contact, but six years is a long time not to share an official missing person's report. I'm curious about the circumstances surrounding why it took so long. Was it because of his transient lifestyle, or perhaps they thought he was living independently and didn't want to intervene? If anyone has insights or theories on why there was such a delay, I'd love to hear more perspectives on this.
