Hello, everyone. I've been following Juan Espinal's case for years, like many of you, and I'm struck by how much love and community support he seems to have had. I'm curious about how Espinal balanced his intense schedule with school, basketball, and multiple jobs. It speaks volumes about his character, how at such a young age he worked to help his family, especially trying to secure housing for them. Such dedication and selflessness can't be overlooked, and seeing how deeply his friends and family admired him really puts into perspective what was lost that night in 2017.
Now that Robert Severino has been arrested, I’m left with a lot of questions about those years in between and what finally led to this breakthrough. Was a new piece of evidence discovered, or perhaps a witness came forward after all this time? it must be a rollercoaster for Juan’s family, after nearly seven years with no answers. Sending love to all those who knew and cared for him. Let’s hope justice continues to unfold, not just for Juan but for everyone who has been affected by this tragedy.
I came across this case recently, and Juan Espinal's story really stuck with me. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends have gone through these past years. What I find intriguing is the logistics and thorough work that must have gone into the investigation, given how long it took to arrest Robert Severino. It sounds like the law enforcement agencies involved were pretty dedicated to bringing some measure of justice for Juan. Does anyone have more insight into how these collaborative efforts typically work in cold cases like this? It seems like they pulled resources from several departments to get this far. It gives me some hope that maybe other cases can find closure, too. And hopefully, they find that second person soon—for Juan and his family.
Anyone else following the court proceedings for Severino? I'm curious about how they developed enough evidence to make an arrest after all these years.
