Does anyone else find it odd that even with Maria's previous history of leaving for NYC, no one has come forward with sightings since 2014? I wonder if there's a lack of awareness or communication among the shelter systems? It seems like someone would've recognized her by now, especially with the unique description and her tendency to end up in shelters. Maybe we should be pushing for more outreach in that community? It feels like there’s a missing piece of the puzzle that hasn’t been explored. Thoughts?
Has anyone else wondered about Maria's ties to New York City? I was reading through some older posts and noticed that she had spent time in shelters there in the past. It's possible she could have gone back to NYC, but why hasn't she reached out to her family? NYC is vast, and I imagine it would be easy to get lost in the crowd, but someone must have seen her. Do shelters in NYC keep detailed records or photos of their residents? Maybe reaching out to them again could provide some leads. I really hope there's still a chance to find her safe. Any thoughts from those familiar with the NYC shelter system?
