I've been thinking a lot about Michael Gene Mortensen and how young he was when his life was cut tragically short. Just 23 years old and so much ahead of him. It's heartbreaking to imagine how this senseless act of violence took away all his dreams and future. I can't help but wonder about his close friends and family, who must still feel the weight of his absence every day, even decades later. How do they keep his memory alive while coping with the pain of such an unthinkable loss? Such a devastating reminder of how fragile life can be, and how important it is to cherish every moment with our loved ones. My heart goes out to all the families affected that night.
