Thank you for your thoughts everyone. My dad is missed.

I've been following the unsolved case of Richard "A.J." Epps for some time, and what's really intriguing to me is the description of the vehicle seen speeding away. Does anyone else find it odd that despite having a relatively distinctive description—a light brown Ford Maverick with a lighter-colored vinyl top—there still haven't been any arrests? Seems like it would've stood out. I wonder if time has eroded potential leads or if it's possible that the car was disposed of or altered soon after the incident.
It's just so frustrating to think how a small detail like this could potentially unlock the whole mystery. I can't imagine what A.J.'s friends and family must be going through, yearning for closure after all these years. If anyone out there has connections to classic car communities or knows of people who might have lived in the Portland area around that time, it might be worth reaching out. Every bit of information helps, and it's never too late to bring justice for A.J.
Does anyone else feel like the description of the car – specifically the light brown Ford Maverick with the lighter vinyl top – should have been a bigger lead? I mean, it's such a specific vehicle, especially since it's kind of a classic car even back in 1990. It's frustrating that no solid witness has come forward or that it hasn't led to anything substantial. A.J. probably had friends and family looking out for him, hoping for justice. I hope that if anyone out there remembers that car or knows something, they'll find the courage to speak up, even anonymously. It could mean so much to those still waiting for answers after all these years. And maybe a little detail like that might just make the difference in cracking this case.
Does anyone else have a theory about the popping noises the neighbor heard? It's chilling to think that it could have been gunshots, and so early in the morning too. I can't imagine what A.J.'s family must be going through, knowing he was taken from them in such a violent way. The description of the car is so specific—does anyone remember seeing a light brown Ford Maverick around that time in the Portland area? I wonder if someone out there remembers something seemingly insignificant that could make a difference. Hope his family gets the answers they deserve someday.
