It’s been a while since Esteban "Steve" Del Cid lost his life, and I often think about the people who were with him that night. Being out with friends, expecting just to have a good time, and then faced with something so unimaginable. I can’t even begin to fathom how his friends and those who were there are coping or dealing with the trauma. They lost someone dear to them and had their lives changed in an instant. My heart goes out to each of them as they navigate life without Steve. It's really important to support people who indirectly become victims of such tragedies, too. Hoping that they’ve found a community to lean on throughout all this.
