Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic events surrounding Michael Epps Jr.'s death, particularly the toll it has taken on his family and community. It’s unimaginable to lose someone in such an abrupt and violent way. I’m not from Portland, but I can only imagine the fear and distress this has caused to those who knew him and others living in Northeast Portland, given the similar incidents in the area. What’s really concerning is the impact on community safety and trust, especially since this isn't an isolated incident. For a person like Quentin Blackmon to be involved in not just one, but potentially two separate homicides, it makes you wonder about the safety net that’s supposed to protect everyone. I really hope that justice for Michael Epps Jr. and his loved ones isn't delayed further—waiting for answers and closure must be incredibly difficult. I know the trial for Epps Jr. is scheduled for next year, but I hope the authorities are also focusing on preventive measures going forward. It’s so important for a community to feel safe and supported during such times. My thoughts are definitely with Michael’s family and friends. Stay strong, everyone.
