Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of JaMarie Herring Sr., and I can't help but feel deeply for his family and friends. I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind: the community response to his tragic death.
The vigil held in honor of JaMarie really speaks to the love and support he must have had, and it's incredibly sad that violence erupted during such a moment of remembrance. It seems like a reflection of the wider challenges faced in that part of Portland. It’s heartbreaking to think that gunfire interrupted a time meant for healing and unity.
Has anyone else here seen instances where community gatherings after tragic events devolved into further violence? What do you think communities can do to ensure these gatherings remain safe spaces for honoring the victims? My heart truly goes out to all who knew JaMarie. I hope the community finds a path to peace and healing soon.
Stay safe,

Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of JaMarie Herring Sr., and my heart really goes out to his family and friends during this tough time. One question that's been on my mind lately is about the Mingle Lounge itself. Has anyone heard anything about whether there had been previous incidents there? I mean, is this place known for altercations, or was this just a random and unfortunate situation?
I can't help but wonder if understanding more about the local atmosphere might shed some light on what led to this tragic event. Maybe those familiar with the Portland nightlife scene could offer some insight.
Wishing for peace and healing for everyone affected. Stay safe, folks.
