I've been doing some research on Constable John Dillon's case, and there's something that's been bothering me. It seems like there is very little follow-up on what happened to the group of men responsible for this tragedy. It's frustrating how history can sometimes forget such crucial details. Were any of these men ever held accountable for their actions, or did they just fade into obscurity leaving the community without justice? It's really alarming that these kinds of violent episodes can go unresolved. My thoughts go out to Constable Dillon's family, as they must have had so many unanswered questions during such a difficult time, especially during the holidays. Does anyone have further information on whether there were any efforts made to pursue these men or uncover more about the incident in later years?
