Has anyone else been thinking about the role of Todd Hodge in all of this? It's such a huge weight off the shoulders that the case seems to have wrapped up, but I can't help but feel for the families left in the aftermath of something so tragic. Justice seems pretty lenient sometimes, eh? Even though Hodge's involvement seemed to 'just' be about disposing of the weapon, it's still hard to swallow. I mean, how does one just throw a gun into a river with that kind of knowledge on their conscience? I can't imagine the strain and heartbreak the Careys are feeling—or Latisha, having to deal with both the physical recovery and emotional weight. These plea deals, man. They seem like a slap on the wrist compared to what the families will live with. I get the legal strategies and all, but it’s hard to put value on lives so deeply disrupted, you know? Sending out thoughts and prayers to those trying to mend from such an injustice. ?
