I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact on Laura Tawney's neighbors after the incident. I can’t even begin to imagine the shock and pain they must have felt, realizing something so violent occurred just next door. It must bring an array of emotions—fear, sadness, anger—to those who knew her or interacted with her in the community. I truly hope they, alongside Laura’s family and close friends, were able to find some support or counseling to process the trauma of what happened. On another note, I'm curious if there were any warning signs that others noticed but didn’t know how to address? Sometimes people close to these situations might suspect something but feel powerless to step in without concrete evidence. It's a tough spot to be in, knowing what to do in such complex and sensitive situations. Does anyone here know of any resources or best practices communities can rely on when they suspect domestic violence but aren't sure how to proceed safely? I think increased awareness and education could be critical in preventing future tragedies. Thoughts?
