Hey all, I wanted to talk a bit about the role of community in solving the tragic murder of Damartay "R.J." Dejuan Bonner. It's been several years now, but it still feels like yesterday to many who knew and loved him. What's particularly noteworthy is how the people in the area came together to support the investigation. Witnesses didn't hesitate to come forward with vital information that led to the arrest of James “J.J.” Bennett III. This kind of collaboration between citizens and law enforcement is crucial in any murder investigation. It's a painful reminder of how vital it is to stand together in times of tragedy and ensure justice is served swiftly. While nothing can bring Damartay back, the community's determination to see this case solved is a testament to their strength and unity. My heart goes out to his family and friends who continue to feel his absence every day. I hope this resolution, in some kind of way, brings them a bit of peace. Stay safe out there, everyone.
