Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the Richard Vance case, and one detail has me thinking about the larger context of firearm access in our community. From the reports, it seems Cory Donahue used a long gun in the tragic shooting of Richard. While it’s important that the police quickly identified and arrested a suspect, I'm left wondering about how common access to these types of weapons might be around Branchland and other rural areas.
My thoughts are with Richard’s family and friends during what must be an incredibly difficult time. It’s hard to imagine the pain of losing someone so suddenly. I'm curious if there have been any efforts in the past to address weapon accessibility or similar concerns in the community. Does anyone have insights or personal experiences they’re willing to share?
Thanks for reading.
