Death by Force

On July 24, 2024, 47-year-old Thomas Dedmon was fatally shot in a public park located in the 38200 block of 10th Street East in Palmdale, California. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a gunshot victim around midnight. Upon arrival, they found Dedmon with a gunshot wound to his back. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene shortly after midnight on July 25, 2024.
