I still can't wrap my head around the Jykeria Coffer case. It's so painful to think about her being gone, especially at such a young age. One aspect of this that really gets me is how easy it seems for a young teenager to get hold of a gun. It makes me wonder where it came from and why it was even accessible in the first place. DIYrun was only 14, and the idea that this could happen in a family home is incredibly unsettling. I've read about laws around gun storage and safety but clearly, they're not stringent enough, especially when kids can end up with stolen weapons. I hope this tragedy wakes people up to the dangers and pushes for better enforcement of gun safety measures. My heart goes out to Jykeria's family—I can't imagine the pain they're feeling.
