In Waterloo, Iowa, on the 15th of May, 2015, a promising life was tragically cut short. Jykeria J. Coffer, a 15-year-old Black female, died from a gunshot wound. The incident that led to her death unfolded inside her own home, a place that should have been a sanctuary.
