I've been following the tragic incident involving Rocky Mecham, and I just can't shake the need to emphasize safety when it comes to long-range shooting activities. While it's clear that what happened was truly an accident, it's heartbreaking that a simple miscommunication had such dire consequences. No one can fathom the split-second decisions and unforeseen misfires that can happen, and this must be incredibly difficult for Rocky's family and for Greg Timothy as well. It's a poignant reminder that even the most experienced among us can find ourselves in situations where a lapse in communication can lead to disaster. My thoughts are with both Rocky's family and all involved. Please, anyone out there into target shooting, double-check your protocols and communication procedures. A moment's oversight might prevent a tragic loss. Stay safe, everyone.
