I can't stop thinking about the children who were present during the tragic events at the River Bend Road apartment. It's hard to imagine how terrifying and confusing this must have been for them. I hope they have a strong support system to help them process everything they witnessed. Kids are so resilient, but they should never have to experience something so traumatic. My heart goes out to Dylan's family, especially his mom, July Cruz, who must be feeling incredibly lost right now. It must be so tough for her to grapple with unanswered questions about why the situation escalated to the point it did. I know there's a lot of debate around the self-defense claim, but it's important to also remember the personal stories behind the headlines, and how many lives were impacted by this.
