I've been thinking a lot about the bravery of Carolyn Sykes in those final moments. It's really haunting to imagine her trying to escape and warn others about what was happening that night. I can't help but wonder if things might have turned out differently if Davis had been stopped before reaching the house. It's a stark reminder of how vital it is to take threats of domestic violence seriously and to protect those who might be in danger. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims—it's a grief that must feel impossible to bear even decades later. How can we as a society better support individuals in tumultuous relationships to prevent such senseless loss?
