I've been following the case of Eric Jr. Knox and can't stop thinking about the role of private security in public housing. It seems like there needs to be a serious conversation about who is entrusted with security and their methods. It's unsettling that Knox was shot in the back, implying that he wasn't even facing the guards during the incident. What are these security companies doing to train their employees for such volatile situations? And how do residents feel safe if they can't even trust the people meant to protect them? Knox's death was a devastating loss for his family and highlights a much larger issue. Hoping for more meaningful reforms from this tragic situation. Sending thoughts to his loved ones.
