Darryl Garrett, aged 51, was killed on October 16, 2017, in Houston, Texas, during a violent incident that took place at a north Houston nightclub. Garrett was working an extra security job alongside two other Harris County Precinct 4 constable deputies when they were ambushed. The shooting occurred around the early hours at the 45 Norte Bar and Lounge, where the deputies were providing security.
