Eric Jr. Knox, aged 24, was fatally shot on June 18, 2016, at a public housing complex in Chicago. Knox was attending a party at the Chicago Housing Authority complex when four security guards from Kates Detective & Security Services arrived, and a confrontation ensued. During the incident, Knox was shot twice in the back, and two of the security guards were also injured.
