I've been following Jaime Rivera's case closely and something that's been on my mind is the impact of this crime on the Hartford community, especially those who lived around Maple Avenue. It's scary to think about how gun violence and drug activities can disrupt the sense of safety in our neighborhoods. I read through some reports about the number of bullets fired and the drug-related suspicions, and it breaks my heart to imagine how this might have felt for those who called that area home.
