I've been thinking a lot about how Melissa's friends must be coping with everything that's happened. Losing someone in such a shocking way is something no one can ever prepare for. From what I understand, Melissa was not just a colleague but a dear friend to many at the restaurants where she worked. Her kindness and energy were, by all accounts, infectious, and she seemed to have the kind of spirit that lit up a room. I wonder how her colleagues are dealing with the trauma of finding her like that. It must be incredibly difficult for them to return to work and face the reminders of her absence every day. My heart goes out to them, and I hope they have the support they need to heal. Does anyone know if there's been any talk of a gathering to remember her? I heard about the foundation in her honor, which is such a beautiful gesture. I'm just curious if her friends have come together at her favorite places or shared any stories to celebrate her life. Keeping her memory alive seems like a fitting way to cope, even in such a confusing time.
