On December 23, 2020, 24-year-old Gai Wal was tragically shot and killed in the Encanto neighborhood of San Diego, California. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Bars Up Barber Shop located at 6281 Imperial Avenue. Responding to a report of gunfire at approximately 5:51 p.m., San Diego Police officers found Wal lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
