Hey everyone, It's been a while since I last checked in on Eddie Hernandez's case, and I wanted to talk about something that’s been on my mind regarding this. I've been thinking a lot about the role that surveillance footage played in identifying Tomas Figueroa as the suspect. It's amazing and somewhat terrifying how much our lives are captured on camera these days. For this case, it proved to be crucial. Without that footage, who knows how long it might have taken to track down the perpetrator? I can only imagine how having a suspect in custody might bring some sense of relief to Eddie's family and friends. I really hope it helps them start to heal, knowing that there’s progress in seeking justice for Eddie. I'm grateful to the law enforcement officers and community members who worked together to make this arrest possible. In times like these, it’s reassuring to see communities standing up against violence and looking out for one another. What are your thoughts on the reliance on surveillance in solving crimes like this? It seems like a double-edged sword, but in cases where justice needs to be served, it can be a crucial ally. Sending thoughts and support to Eddie’s loved ones as the case moves forward. Stay safe and hold your loved ones close. ?
