I’ve been following CeCe’s case since it first happened, and I keep thinking about those days that must have been pure agony for her family. It's hard to wrap my mind around such a senseless act over something as seemingly trivial as a song. The idea that words could lead to such violence is chilling. It’s deeply unsettling to learn that TJ Preston admitted his involvement in this and other violent acts. While it’s reassuring to know that authorities are making inroads into dismantling the Exit 8 gang, I can’t help but feel for CeCe’s family during this time. It’s a step towards justice, but it's such a harsh reality that the system can only offer limited comfort when a life has been stolen so young. Her family’s resilience is remarkable, and I hope they find some peace as they continue to honor CeCe’s memory.
