Does anyone else find it unsettling how this tragic event unfolded in a church parking lot, a place many consider a sanctuary? It’s so troubling to think about how Chad, a person who served his country with valor, found his life ending in such a violent way. I keep thinking about his family and how they must be dealing with not only the grief but also the shock of losing him in this manner. Chad’s dedication and bravery in the military should be honored, and it's heartbreaking to see a life with so much meaning behind it, cut short. With the PTSD he was battling, it makes me wonder if there’s more to the story on a personal level for both men involved. It's so important to take a deeper look at the issues veterans face when they return home. We often overlook the challenges they endure every day. My thoughts are with Jennifer and all those who loved Chad during this incredibly difficult time.
