Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic situation involving Ernest McCoy and Charles Leavy. I keep thinking about how incredibly distressing this must be for Ernest's family and friends. It’s a real shock to lose someone so suddenly and violently, and I can't imagine the ripple effect it must have on everyone who knew him. I have a question about the legal process in these kinds of cases. I noticed that Leavy's charges were initially for first-degree battery before being upgraded to second-degree murder after Ernest's passing. Can someone explain why the charges weren't just set to murder right away? Does it have to do with the victim's condition before he passed, or is it a procedural thing? I'm trying to understand how these decisions are made when the facts seem so serious from the get-go. Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this. Ernest deserved so much better. ?

I've been following this case closely and I can't stop thinking about the role of the female occupant in the house. It's heartbreaking to imagine the trauma she must have gone through hearing that gunshot and then discovering what had happened. I wonder if she's been provided with support to cope with witnessing such a horrible event right in her own home. It makes me curious about her background, too—how long had she been living with Ernest and Charles? Was their living arrangement typically peaceful, or were there any signs of tension leading up to this tragic night? It's easy to get caught up in the details of the crime itself, but we shouldn't forget about the lives impacted by these devastating events. Anybody heard any more details on her or how she's holding up? Thoughts with everyone affected by this senseless act.

I’ve been following the Ernest McCoy case, and something keeps bothering me. How could Charles Leavy claim he didn’t know if he opened the door? Doesn’t that seem questionable? I mean, it’s not like forgetting where you put your keys; it’s a pretty significant part of the event, especially considering the devastating outcome. Ernest deserved so much better. Understandably, the situation might have been chaotic, but it feels like that’s something someone wouldn't just forget. My heart goes out to Ernest’s family and friends. They have to be grappling with so many unanswered questions right now. It's important that the truth comes to light so they can find some peace. What are everyone’s thoughts on this aspect?
