I've been following the tragic case of Sydney Bolden and the other victims ever since it happened back in 2019. I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact on Sydney's family, especially with her being so young and full of potential. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, something no family should ever have to endure. In particular, I wonder about the kind of impact this tragedy has on Sydney’s schoolmates and friends. They were probably looking forward to finishing up the school year and starting their summer, only to be blindsided by this horrific news. It must be so difficult for them to process such a loss at such a young age. I've heard stories about how tight-knit some schools are, so I imagine there's been a lot of support and counseling, but I hope they have all received the help they needed and that the community has come together to cherish her memory. If anyone from the Little Rock area can share how the school and local community are doing, or if memorials have been put in place in Sydney's honor, it would be heartfelt to hear about how they are coping and remembering her. My thoughts are with all who loved and lost Sydney, Dontriece, and Ramonda.
