Has anyone else been following the court proceedings in the Justin Hines case? It's been nearly a year since his arrest for the tragic death of Cortney Mays. I came across the info that Hines' bail was reduced significantly — from $750k to $25k — after a claim of self-defense. This seems like such a huge drop, and I'm curious how others feel about it. I understand that every person is innocent until proven guilty, but I think of Mays' family and what they must be going through, seeing Hines potentially back out in the community while they wait for justice. Does anyone have insights into why bail might get reduced so drastically in a case as serious as this one? It's a reminder of the complexity and emotional weight these legal proceedings carry for everyone involved.
