I've been following the case of Brittany Cottrell, and I've been struck by the response from the Little Rock community. I noticed that the Little Rock Police Department has bolstered efforts to provide resources and support for those caught in these challenging situations, which feels so necessary and timely. It’s just deeply upsetting to think about what Brittany might have endured, and how many more people might be suffering silently behind closed doors. Has anyone here, particularly from the Little Rock area, noticed if there's been an increase in outreach programs or campaigns on domestic violence since April 2022? I hope more people will feel empowered to reach out for help before a situation escalates to this tragic level. To Brittany’s family and friends, I can't imagine the pain you must be going through, but I hope knowing that positive changes could come from such a senseless act brings you some solace.
