The Zubia family case is always on my mind for some reason, especially when I drive past East Baseline Road. I’ve lived in Phoenix my whole life, and this tragedy has haunted our community for decades. I recently stumbled upon a discussion about neighborhood dynamics back in the early '90s, and some locals mention how close-knit the area was back then. People looked out for one another, so it's baffling that nobody saw or heard a thing on August 29, 1992.
I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been to be their neighbor or a friend knowing something this horrific happened right outside their door. Also, it makes me wonder if there's someone out there who's scared to speak up even now. If anyone reading this remembers anything at all, no matter how small it seems, please consider reaching out to Silent Witness. It's a long shot, but even the tiniest piece of information could make a difference.
Sending love and strength to anyone who knew the Zubia family. Their memory deserves justice, and I hope we can keep their story alive in hopes of finding answers.
The frustration surrounding the Zubia family case is palpable, especially with so many years passing without any resolution. I keep thinking about how vulnerable the victims were, particularly the children. As a community, we owe it to Rocio and Eloy Jr. to keep pushing for answers, because they never got the chance to grow up and realize their potential.
Silent Witness is still accepting tips, so I hope people who might know even the smallest detail will come forward. Tips can be anonymous, which might encourage someone who's hesitant to provide information. It’s heartbreaking to think that there could still be someone out there who knows what happened or why, but hasn't spoken up. If anyone out there knows something, no matter how minor it seems, please consider sharing it. It could be the puzzle piece needed to solve this decade-long mystery.
I recently stumbled upon the Zubia family tragedy, and it struck a chord with me. It's been over three decades since that terrible day, yet there are still no answers for those five lives cut short. I can’t imagine the pain their loved ones must feel each day without closure.
One detail that keeps me up at night is how the community was impacted back then. East Baseline Road must carry memories of what once was a family trying to live their lives, now replaced with haunting questions of who or why. I hope by talking about this case, we can keep the memories of Librada, Eloy Sr., Gabriel, Rocio, and Eloy Jr. alive and perhaps bring some new information to light.
To anyone who may have lived in Phoenix during the early '90s or knows anything, I urge you to reach out to Silent Witness. This case may be cold, but that doesn't mean it has to remain in the dark forever.
