Wow, just reading about Officer Snedigar's story gives me chills. It's such a stark reminder of the risks police officers face every day. I can't help but think about the sheer bravery it must take to be the first one through the door during a SWAT operation. That split-second decision making and courage is something most of us can't even begin to comprehend. Another thing that struck me was the setting at the apartment complex — 1100 N. Priest Drive. It's eerie to think of such violence in such an ordinary place where people live their everyday lives. I hope the apartment community has been able to find some peace and healing in the years since this tragic event. My thoughts really go out to Officer Snedigar's family, especially his children and grandson. It's touching to see his legacy preserved through the Snedigar Sportsplex, but I can only imagine how much he is missed. It's heroes like him who remind us of the human cost associated with maintaining our safety, a cost we should never take for granted.
