It’s so gut-wrenching to think about how the community in Tucson has been dealing with the loss of Emma and her little brother. Knowing there were no prior reports of abuse or warning signs just leaves more questions. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Perla Morales' extended family and friends must be experiencing—not only losing Emma and Richard in such a devastating way but also struggling to understand how things could reach such a tragic point. I wonder if any neighbor or friend noticed any changes in Perla before this happened. Sometimes people hide their struggles so well that those around them don’t pick up on subtle signs until it’s too late. I hope this tragedy leads to more awareness and support systems for parents who might be secretly battling their demons. The loss of such young, innocent lives is just unimaginable. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected by this.

I just can't stop thinking about the unimaginable weight that this community is bearing after the loss of Emma and Richard. It’s deeply saddening to know there were no prior signs or warnings from the authorities that could have prevented this. We always hope that systems in place will protect the most vulnerable among us, but sometimes the worst tragedies happen in silence. It makes you wonder... what can we do as a community to ensure such tragedies are prevented in the future? I know that nothing can bring back these precious children, but maybe there are ways to strengthen our support networks and be more vigilant in offering help before it's too late. My heart truly goes out to their family and anyone who knew and loved Emma and Richard.
