I've been following the recent news about Larry Duncan's tragic death and can't help but reflect on the tough decision his family faced about their living situation. It must have been heart-wrenching for them to balance the need to stay together in a place they called home while understanding the potential dangers of the area. The fact that they were already planning to move speaks volumes about their awareness and concern for safety, especially with kids involved. It’s so senseless how a decision like that, a plan with hope for a safer future, gets shattered in such a cruel way. My heart truly goes out to Shana and their children. They need the community's support now more than ever. I hope they find the strength they need to navigate this incredibly difficult time. It's just so important for them to feel the collective support and love from those around them. Anyone else have thoughts on what we can do to support families in similar situations or help make these communities safer?
