I can't stop thinking about how Messiah was just an innocent kid caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's devastating that a kid who was simply on his way to becoming someone great had his life so unfairly cut short. Reading about him being on the all-A honor roll and earning 'Student of the Month' twice, it’s clear he had such a bright future ahead. My heart goes out to his mom, Danielle Blount—no parent should have to witness or endure such a loss. As for the community, it’s crucial we come together to address this violence.
