It's so tough to see another senseless crime happen in our community, and my heart goes out to Cornelius Quincey Gray's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. One detail that's been nagging at me: the fact that no one seems to have seen what led up to the shooting. I find it odd that there are no security cameras or even eyewitnesses who might've seen something outside the McDonald's. It's a pretty busy area, especially on a Saturday night, and yet it seems like there's a big gap in what we know about the moments leading up to this tragedy. Is anyone familiar with that McDonald's or the surrounding area? Is it possible there are businesses nearby with outdoor security cameras that might've captured something useful? I really hope that the IMPD can gather more leads and that someone will come forward soon.
