Has anyone else noticed how crucial community involvement was in this case? Honestly, I'm relieved that those two individuals came forward to the Austin PD with information. It makes me think about how many cases might go unsolved without brave people stepping up. My heart goes out to Jehu Patrick Flores' family and friends who had to wait so long for answers about what happened to him. It's hard to imagine that his remains were right there in the greenbelt all this time. I hope this brings them some peace, knowing that justice is finally being served. Does anyone know if there are any local efforts to support transient communities, or perhaps to improve relations with law enforcement to prevent future tragedies like this?
