Hey everyone, I was reading about the case of Richard Albright, the nurse anesthetist who vanished in 2021. Something that really stood out to me was his purchase of a 30-day MetroCard just before he went missing. Why would he need a whole month's pass if he was just out for a brief walk to ease his foot pain?
It's strange considering he left his medications at home, which implies he didn't plan on being away for long. Is it possible he planned to travel around the city for some reason? The two new knee replacements would have surely made long-distance walking hard for him. I wonder if it could have been a subconscious preparation for an extended time away or if he intended to meet someone somewhere in the city. I'm curious about what theories others might have regarding this. Any thoughts on what his plans might have been or why the MetroCard was purchased?
Has anyone else dug into the timeline of Richard Albright's last morning? I find it really odd that someone recovering from knee replacements would decide to go for a walk in slippers, of all things. My dad had similar surgery, and he could barely walk across the living room without support for weeks. It almost feels like the walk was an excuse, or perhaps something else was going on that morning. The fact that Richard bought a 30-day MetroCard intrigues me, too. Maybe he had been planning to go somewhere further than a short stroll around the block? Could it be that he didn't want his family to worry about an extended outing? I wish we had more footage or updates on whether he was seen on a bus or subway after he used that MetroCard. If anyone has more info or theories on what might have led to his unusual decision to leave like that, please share.
